Membership Committee Update
I thought we had a great start to the year with our September meeting and appreciate everyone that was able to get to the meeting to help make it a successful event. The room felt full, and it was great to see a high number of prospective members including a table of college students joining us. I would like to thank everyone who brought a guest to the September meeting and encourage those who have people in mind who may be good additions to our chapter to continue to reach out to invite them to our upcoming meetings. It certainly helps create a positive experience for our speaker, members and guests when we have an engaged group of people in a full room. I’d continue to ask for everyone’s help in building on what was a great start to the FEI year when it comes to our attendance at the meeting.
Lastly, Joe Rossmeissl reviewed our Linkedin page and put out a friendly reminder to follow our page and send requests to your connections that would benefit from following our page. Let’s see what we can do to work together to get that number of followers to 1000!
Hope to see everyone (and a guest) in October.
Thank you,
Bob Faulds

Building products
In this edition of the Building Products Market Monitor, we’re diving into the HVACR equipment market activity and drivers. Market Monitor
Trade policy uncertainty has significantly impacted M&A activity in 2025. The Trade Policy Uncertainty (TPU) Index, which measures the frequency of news coverage linking trade policy to uncertainty, has reached record highs in 2025, highlighting widespread unpredictability in global trade relations. This elevated uncertainty has made it increasingly difficult for dealmakers to confidently assess future earnings and project long-term value, leading to a significant slowdown in the number of completed M&A deals.
