PFAS are a family of thousands of manufactured synthetic compounds with a carbon-fluorine bond. PFAS have been used in non-stick cookware, stain resistant fabrics, carpets, food packaging materials and upholstery, and consumer products like dental floss, cleaning products, paints/varnishes, cosmetics, moisturizers, and makeup. In March 2023, the USEPA announced a proposed National Primary Drinking Water Regulation for six PFAS compounds close to zero. Businesses need to set strategies now to address their PFAS exposure in anticipation of future regulatory action.

The era of artificial intelligence is finally here. While AI itself has been around for decades, nothing we’ve seen in recent history holds a candle to the suddenly accelerated progress we’ve witnessed over the past 8 months alone. Things really got started when OpenAI released ChatGPT late in 2022 after being acquired by Microsoft in 2020. A few months later, Google announced their competitor to the generative AI, Bard.
