Summary & Learning Objectives

Imagine arriving at work to discover that an AI agent has already made a decision with real financial consequences. The outcome looks favorable. The records reconcile. Yet one question has no obvious answer: Who authorized it?

AI is approaching a critical threshold—from helping people make decisions to acting on behalf of the enterprise. In this story-driven keynote, financial leaders will enter a plausible near future where the line between recommendation and action begins to disappear. Together, we will explore what happens to trust, judgment, control, and accountability when software can commit company resources—and why finance may ultimately determine how much authority machines receive.

Attendees will walk away with:

• A clear understanding of how AI agents differ from traditional automation and why their ability to act changes the financial leadership conversation.

Greg Levenhagen
Software Engineer, Consultant, Public Speaker,
and Microsoft Regional Director

Greg Levenhagen is a Technical Fellow and VP of AI with NRI, a Microsoft Regional Director (http://rd.microsoft.com) and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). He helps make people's lives better through technology and software.

A true computer science enthusiast, his passions and interests include AI (several subcategories of Artificial Intelligence - neural networks, machine learning, and vision), data science, human-computer Interaction, architecture, distributed computing, 3D/games, security, and languages.  

Having spent significant time in Linux, UNIX, Apple and Microsoft stacks, along with the big three cloud providers in Amazon (AWS), Microsoft (Azure) and Google (GCP), Greg believes strongly in a best tool for the job/solution approach. He speaks at conferences like THAT Conference, CodeMash, VSLive, Code PaLOUsa and various Code Camps.

Greg has a great passion for giving back to the community and teaching. He volunteers through TEALS and code.org to get computer science into schools, and sits on several non-profit and education boards. He is also a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), board member of THAT Conference, president of the Milwaukee Code Camp, president of the Northeast WI Code Camp, president of the Northeast WI Developers User Group (NEWDUG), co-organizer of the Fox Valley Game Development Meetup, co-organizer of the Northeast Wisconsin Cloud User Group (NEWCUG), organizer of MobileMKE, cofounder of the Northeast WI Agile User Group, INETA speaker and IEEE and ACM member.

Along with being a life-long geek, Greg enjoys golfing, football, woodworking, and philosophy.

Since 1931, financial executives have helped organizations navigate economic disruption, regulatory change, globalization, the Internet, and cybersecurity, and AI is the next business transformation demanding the same balance of opportunity and accountability. This session provides finance leaders with a practical roadmap for AI governance, enterprise risk management, and risk transfer solutions that support responsible innovation while protecting the balance sheet. Key takeaways are as follows: 

• Key Governance Priorities. Effective AI governance establishes board oversight, accountability, and controls to reduce the likelihood and severity of losses arising from erroneous outputs, bias, privacy violations, intellectual property disputes, fraud, regulatory actions, and other unintended business outcomes.

• Technology Adoption Outpacing Risk Management. Each technology wave introduced new categories of risk before organizations had frameworks to manage them. AI is the most compressed cycle, yet which requires a AI roadmap to exposures. Finance leaders can help integrate these scenarios into ERM rather than manage AI as an isolated risk program.

• Insurance Response May Cross Multiple Policies. An AI event may implicate cyber, technology errors and omissions, professional liability, media or intellectual property, D&O, employment practices, crime, general liability, or property coverage. Placement strategy should be tested against prioritized loss scenarios rather than assumed from policy labels.

Jesus Gonzalez

Jesus Gonzalez is a recognized advisor on artificial intelligence risk, cyber risk, and intangible asset governance. As Intangible Assets Global Leader at Aon, he advises boards of directors, executives, insurers, and risk leaders on AI governance, enterprise risk management, insurance strategy, and total cost of risk considerations associated with emerging technologies.

With more than two decades of experience spanning technology leadership, risk advisory, and insurance innovation, Jesus has advised organizations across industry verticals with an emphasis on the governance, risk, and financial implications of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other intangible asset exposures. Prior to joining Aon, he held leadership roles at Motorola and Nokia Siemens Networks on global technology initiatives.

Jesus is a Senior Fellow at AI 2030 and is a U.S. Patent Holder in Network Security and Vendor Risk Management Platforms. Jesus holds a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight issued by the CERT Division of the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.

A distinguishing aspect of Jesus’s work is helping organizations bridge innovation and governance. His work focuses on technology governance, risk oversight, and bespoke insurance transfer solutions.

Jesus is an author and contributor to studies and thought leadership focused on AI, cybersecurity, insurance, and intangible assets, including the 2026 Intangible Versus Tangible Risks Comparison Study and work with the Geneva Association exploring the role of insurance in managing generative AI risks.

Nikki Falk

Nikki Falk is a product and technology leader with 18 years of experience at the intersection of emerging technology, business strategy, product development, and implementation. For almost two decades, she has helped enterprise and mid-market organizations integrate smart, connected technologies into their operations and cultures, while using those real-world implementations to influence product development, commercialization, and go-to-market strategy.

Her experience spans startups, manufacturing and OEM solutions, transportation technology, and financial services, with roles crossing NPD, NPI, enterprise implementation, and product leadership. Today, as an AI Champion at Associated Bank, Nikki applies that experience to conversational AI, AI operating models, governance, and implementation - helping answer not only what AI can do, but what organizations should do with it, how they make it work, and how doing it well can create business value and competitive advantage.

David Manek
Senior Managing Director

David Manek leads data privacy, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence professionals dedicated to delivering complex compliance solutions for global corporations and their legal counsel. Mr. Manek specializes in the strategic oversight of large-scale, data-intensive regulatory change management initiatives, helping clients navigate the intersection of evolving privacy laws and operational business requirements. At FTI Consulting, Mr. Manek is a preeminent advisor on the technical requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the EU AI Act and other emerging privacy and AI laws. He frequently serves as an outsourced Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) for multinational organizations. His expertise is particularly sought after in high-stakes regulatory matters, including California Attorney General investigations and complex litigation involving consumer privacy rights.

Mr. Manek’s technical proficiency encompasses the end-to-end data lifecycle. He has extensive experience in architecting large-scale data maps, developing defensible deletion programs and implementing “Privacy by Design” protocols that mitigate risk at the point of innovation. He is a specialist in data sharing strategies and designing target operating models for risk assessment processes such as privacy impact assessments.

Mr. Manek holds the CIPP/E and CIPM designations from the International Association of Certified Privacy Professionals (“IAPP”). He is a Certified AI Governance Professional (“AIGP”). Mr. Manek is highly proficient in leveraging the NIST Privacy Framework, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and other specialized control frameworks to drive enterprise-wide compliance.

 
Zachary Willenbrink
Attorney | Godfrey & Kahn 

Zach is a shareholder on the firm’s Data Privacy, Cybersecurity & Technology and Litigation teams, and serves on the firm’s Recruiting, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Ethics committees.

Zach advises clients on the legal risks associated with data, information systems, and emerging technologies, offering practical, business-minded advice on everything from compliance programs and incident response to litigation strategy. His work spans the full lifecycle of cybersecurity, privacy, and AI legal issues, including:

• Designing and operationalizing programs that meet evolving state, federal, and international laws.
• Preparing for data incidents with tabletop exercises and breach simulations for business and legal teams.
• Leading breach response efforts as outside counsel and “breach coach.”
• Drawing on years of litigation experience, guiding organizations through internal investigations, regulatory scrutiny, consumer class actions, and other high-stakes disputes and litigation involving data and technology.

Outside Godfrey & Kahn, Zach led the global privacy program and cybersecurity legal operations as in-house counsel at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. Zach also developed and teaches Cybersecurity: Law and Practice at Marquette Law School, and spent nearly five years clerking for U.S. District Judge J.P. Stadtmueller of the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
