Membership Update
We are about halfway through the year, and I’ve been happy to see a lot of prospective members joining our past several meetings to learn more about our chapter. We had a membership committee meeting recently. We discussed several topics but below, I have a couple of the topics we feel are important to consider.
The first topic was emphasizing how important it is to make prospective and new members feel welcome at our meetings. We know it takes a little bit of courage to show up to a networking event where you know very few people if any. Let’s make it a team effort to ensure no one is standing in a circle of one and make sure that all of our guests/new members feel welcome from the minute they walk in the door through the very end of the meeting. How can you help? If you see someone that looks new or that you haven’t met before, simply say hello and introduce yourself.
The second topic is our schedule of speakers coming up. A couple of high-profile speakers include Wayne Larrivee (Packers Radio Announcer) and Sherron Watkins (Enron Whistleblower) in February and April. We believe these are tremendous opportunities to invite a guest and showcase what our chapter is about. Please consider reaching out to any prospective members (inside your organization or part of another organization) that you think may benefit from joining us for these or any of our other meetings coming up this winter/spring.
Lastly, as a quick reminder, please remember to like/follow our LinkedIn page and/or invite others in your network to do the same.
Thank you!
